Queer post-punk band Thus Love is heading to Prague. Their honest work, full of cheeky guitar riffs and personal lyrics, will delight Czech fans on 18th March 2025 at Café V lese. Tickets are on sale from Friday, 4 October 2024 at 11:00 a.m. on GoOut.net.
Thus Love will captivate anyone who doesn't despise the guitar art of Johnny Marr. The likeable band from Vermont, USA, has an extremely strong bond. All of them know what it is like to be an outsider. But it's not only in the studio that they maintain their personal and DIY approach. Since the band's inception, they have lived together, designed homemade merch, and even built their first studio with their own hands. But it is Thus Love's unique image and approach to musicianship that makes them an unmistakable band in the current post-punk scene.
Echo Marshall (vocals, guitar), Lu Racine (drums) and Nathaniel van Osdol (bass) started working on their debut album Memorial (2022) during the coronavirus pandemic. "None of us knew what this period would bring. How long we would be alive. One day we said we had nothing to do anyway, so we'll just make a record. We probably wouldn't have written anything like this if we hadn't been forced to live in a room together," they mentioned in an interview with The Guardian. The album is based around themes of finding meaning in the pitfalls of life and love, as well as the search for joyful moments.
THUS LOVE definitely do not stay in one place. Already in November they release a brand new album "All Pleasure", which according to the opening singles will offer an even more raw and punchy listening experience.
