Felipe Baldomir (Uruguay)

09/03/24 Café In The Woods

Felipe Baldomir is an indie-folk singer-songwriter from Uruguay, currently living in Byron Bay, Australia. People often refer to his music as a blend of Jack Johnson, Xavier Rudd and Tash Sultana - his coastal sound ranges from a folky world of open tones, harmonica and steady strong beats to a hyped up soundscape full of groovy guitar riffs, loops, punchy saxophone runs, keys and warm vocals.
Since his arrival in Sydney in August 2018, he has converted the van into a "mobile home and studio" and has been performing around the country. From busking on the streets, playing in backyards & supporting local musicians like Kim Churchill, Jack Botts, The Dreggs etc to headlining sold out shows around Australia & playing iconic festivals like Changing Tides Festival, NYE OnThe Hill, Bluesfest, Ocean Sounds, Roadtrip Festival, Queenscliff Music Festival etc. From one caravan to another, Felipe will be performing over 100 shows across Australia, Europe, UK & South America in 2023 alone. The independent artist has just announced the release of his upcoming third album (February 2024) and to celebrate, Felipe will embark on his first European and UK tour in March 2024.
