CELTIC-PUNKERS DROPKICK MURPHYS RETURN TO PRAGUE IN JUNE
American Celtic-punkers Dropkick Murphys return to Prague after a year. In August, the fans enjoyed them in the open air at Prague Open Air in Branice Ledárne, on 8 June the Boston patriots will rock out in the Great Hall of Lucerna. The concert at the Icehouse was a great success and the tickets were hopelessly sold out. The great news is that even those who couldn't make it in August have a chance to experience an unadulterated Celtic ride! Dropkick Murphys are not new to the Czech audience and have visited the Czech Republic several times in the past, yet their last hiatus was longer than fans would have liked. Last August's concert was a great pleasure. That is for those who bought a ticket in time. The sold-out Braník Ice Arena was bursting at the seams and the Great Hall of Lucerna will undoubtedly be full as well.
The Dropkick Murphys are known for their ferocity, which is especially evident at concerts. For some it might have been a surprise that the last two albums were acoustic and actually folk. The band brought back to life the songs of folk legend Woody Guthrie. But they wouldn't be the Dropkick Murphys if they didn't mix in some of their own energy.
But there is no need to worry that with age this multi-member Boston group is calming down and looking for new, slower, musical directions, or that they might have abandoned the genre in which they broke through and in which they are the absolute leader. Their legendary wild ride awaits us in Lucerna in June, so don't miss their show!
